Sue Pember left a safe corporate job in 2010 to establish fast-growing relocation business Aussie Orientation Services. It was a bold move for her as she had no experience in a leadership role and the economic climate was continually shifting. The business has since grown to more than 20 employees in two years, by tapping into the resource rich working mothers and semi-retirees market. Aussie Orientation Services has expanded nationally through contacts with multinational clients with plans to keep growing its market share, particularly in the oil and gas sector. Ms Pember is also the founder, owner and director of Mi Casa Property Boutique, a residential sales and property management agency. Ms Pember has won several awards including WA Today's Female Entrepreneur of the Year and the People’s Choice Award in Business News 40under40 awards. She was nominated for the coveted EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award and appointed an Advocate for the City of Perth for her work on the Think Perth campaign in 2018.
