Brownes is WA’s most established and experienced dairy company. Since 1886, generations of Western Australians have grown up with the Brownes Dairy Products.
Brownes was part of the Peters & Brownes group headed by Graham Laitt until 2002 when Fonterra took it over.
Brownes was acquired by Sydney-based private equity fund Archer Capital in 2011, who sold it to the Chinese consortium Australia Zhiran, which included Shanghai Ground Food, in 2017.
