High-quality copper prospects are becoming harder to find, but juniors are poised for the challenge.
Bill Beament is a mining engineer by training.
Mr Beament became executive chair of Northern Star Resources in November 2016, after serving as managing director of the company since 2007. He was previously general manager of the Eloise copper mine in Queensland, and operations manager for Barminco for four years.
Mr Beament was named First Amongst Equals at the 2013 Business News 40under40 awards.
