Courtney Powys

Installing a new stereo in his Kingswood some 20 years ago led Courtney to install stereos in his family and friend’s cars. This eventually led him to form Octocom Communications Services, a Perth based business that specialises in two-way radio, satellite phones and vehicle tracking installations predominately in the truck and earthmoving industry. Starting in 1999 with what Courtney describes as “Me, a Van, and a box of tools” he has built the business to the point that he is now able to peruse a lifelong dream of competing in the 2014/2015 Clipper Round The World Yacht Race.
