Mark Freeman is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience in corporate finance and the resources industry. He has experience in strategic planning, business development, mergers and acquisitions, North American gas commercialisation, and project development general management.
Prior to becoming chief executive of Pursuit Minerals in early 2020, Mr Freeman was the executive director of Grand Gulf Energy which he joined in 2010 as company secretary. He steered the company from near-administration to a multi-million dollar operation. Based in Perth, Grand Gulf targets conventional oil and gas opportunities, and explores & evaluates oil and gas leases in Louisiana, US.
Mr Freeman supports a number of charities and participated in the white-collar charity fight, raising $12,000 for Princess Margaret Hospital.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia, and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance from the Securities Institute of Australia.
