New business woman of the year
A director of corrective services who helped implement a GPS tracking system for sex offenders has been named the Telstra Western Australia Business Woman of the Year.
Kelly Haywood joined the Royal Australian Navy in 1997. She passed the Officer Selection Board in 2005 and commenced her career as Maritime Logistics Officer. She now holds the rank of Lieutenant Commander and is Head of the Maritime Logistics Department onboard HMAS Toowoomba. Ms Haywood is committed to preventing suicide. Through her initiative 'Choose to Live, Love your Life', she delivers her message and raises funds for suicide prevention services.
