Kia Dowell is Gija from Warmun Community in the East Kimberley, and was co-founder of The Cultural Connection Code, a business that aimed to accelerate business and leadership development of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people and organisations. Ms Dowell is on a journey to shift the way Australia and the world perceive Aboriginal people and culture, and to transform the way business and leadership operate in a new culturally connected economy. In 2016 she became a co-founder of consulting group Codeswitch, after The Cultural Connection Code merged with indigenous consultancy Kart Koort Wiern. Codeswitch specialises in similar disciplines to many other consulting groups - business strategy, community engagement and leader capability.
