Tough markets offer some opportunity
Perth’s capital markets players reckon the past few months have been hard to take but they are seeing signs of growth as money returns.
Simon Price co-founded Azure Capital in 2004, and was joint managing partner from 2019 to March 2022. Azure Capital started without a client base, and Mr Price and his partners funded the business privately.
In 2009, Mr Price launched the Azure Foundation which supports Giving West, One Disease at a Time and SciTech.

Perth’s capital markets players reckon the past few months have been hard to take but they are seeing signs of growth as money returns.
WITH some experienced campaigners suggesting the current mergers and acquisitions market is the worst they have ever seen, there is plenty of finger pointing to overly exuberant deals of the past few years as the reason for reluctance in the current environment.
Perth-based financial services group Pioneer Credit is looking to raise more than $40 million with the sale of just over half the company through an IPO which will provide capital for the group to expand its debt purchasing.
