As chief executive of the Australian Hotels Association (WA Branch), Bradley Woods values setting a good example for staff and industry and leading from the front. Mr Woods is the high profile face of the AHA in WA, representing the commercial and political interests of the hotel and hospitality industry in Western Australia. He is a member of the National Expert Advisory Committee on Alcohol, as the local industry representative on this national body.
Mr Woods is a well-respected commentator on hotels, hospitality, tourism, food and beverage and held senior positions in the sector at both National and State levels since 1993. He has extensive expertise in government relations, media, advocacy and commercial operations in not-for-profit organisations and has qualifications in economics, finance, politics, industrial relations and marketing. He also serves on the boards of several tourism, hospitality and training industry organisations.
Mr Woods is chair of the National Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Industry Reference Committee which guides the Commonwealth and industries on the development of training products and national training packages. He is also chair of Hospitality Group Training, board member of the Australia Day Council WA, Future Now and Tourism Accommodation Australia which is the peak body for Australia’s accommodation industry.
Mr Woods graduated from Griffith University in 1992 with a Bachelor of International Business, majoring in Economics and Industrial Relations.
