Latin Gold Limited, together with its subsidiaries, engaged in the exploration and development of gold and base metals in South America. It principally held interest in the Paron Gold Project located in the department of Ancash, Peru. The company was formerly known as Westmag and changed its name to Latin Gold in August 2006. It was the subject of a reverse takeover by mig33 in 2014.
