Board moves: Ward, Minosora
Geoff Ward has been appointed as chief executive of local tech company Hazer Group, while Michael Minosora is set to chair junior explorer Golden Deeps.
Geoff Ward is a senior executive and business leader with over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas, resources and renewable energy sectors including senior executive positions with Woodside Energy and as managing director and chief executive of ASX-listed company Geodynamics. His experience covers strategy, commercial management, financial management, mergers and acquisitions, capital project development, and operations. Mr Ward was also a director of leading corporate advisory firm, Azure Capital. He holds a Master of Business Administration from University of Western Australia, receiving a Director’s Letter of Commendation, and Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) (Honours) from the University of Melbourne. He is a past winner of WA Business News “40under40” award, recognising WA’s top business leaders under 40 years of age. Mr Ward ’s most significant business achievement has been leading the development and challenge of Woodside’s corporate strategy during a period of rapid growth in his role as manager of strategy and planning, where he also played a key role in managing Woodside’s response to Shell’s takeover bid in late 2000.

Family Zone Cyber Safety has appointed Sir Peter Westmacott GCMG LVO as a non-executive director. Sir Peter is a distinguished senior British diplomat who has been a British Ambassador to Turkey, France and the US.
Hazer Group has appointed current chief executive Geoff Ward as managing director. Simon Rushton, a nominee director of Mineral Resources, has resigned as non-executive director following his departure from the company.
A commercial biogas to hydrogen operation in Perth is a step closer for Hazer Group, after the company announced it had received approval from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency board for $9.4 million of funding.
Water Corporation will supply Perth-based technology business Hazer Group with biogas from its wastewater treatment plant at Woodman Point, following an agreement signed between the two parties.
