Collaboration key to shift science dial
The state’s commercial health-related research and technology sector has matured.
Marie Stoner is a scientific director of Clinical Cell Culture – C3, later known as Avita Medical, and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Science and Bachelor of Science with Distinction from Curtin University. She believes her most significant business achievement has been to transform a small cell culture laboratory into a startup biomedical company. Within one year of startup, C3 was negotiating with international companies for worldwide licensing rights to its products. Ms Stoner is a member of several advisory committees and her work has been published in several international peer review journals.
