Great Southern suffers $49m loss
Investment manager Great Southern Ltd has commenced a strategic review of its business after reporting a worse than expected loss of $49.1 million for the half-year to 31 March 2008.
Cameron Rhodes is an accountant by background working at Coopers & Lybrand (now Pricewaterhouse Coopers) until moving into the corporate world. in 1999, Mr Rhodes became GM and company secretary of Great Southern Plantations Ltd, a role he held for sometime until founder John Young handed over the reins as managing director. It was a short lived position as Mr Rhodes sought to steer the debt-laden business through a restructuring process. In 2011 he became a director of winemaker Fermoy Estate.
