Julie Beeck built Perth-based market research agency Market Equity from a two-person operation which she co-founded in 1992, into a national consultancy with 50 full time staff. The business, which provided strategic information and advice to private sector business and government agencies, became part of Synovate Australia in 2005 when the UK-based Aegis subsidiary paid a reported $28 million for the agency. Ms Beeck was managing director of Synovate Australia between 2008 and 2009. She then served as an account director until the business was sold by its then owner, Aegis, to Ipsos. She then joined Metrix as an executive director.
Ms Beeck was a recipient of the Business News 40under40 award in 2002, and has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia
