Ronald McDonald House Charities is an independent non-profit organisation that provides a range of support to seriously ill children and their families when they need it most. The organisation was set up in memory of Ray Kroc, the founder of McDonald's, who believed in charity as a way of putting something back into the community.
The first Ronald McDonald House in Australia opened in 1981.
