Toby Whittington left high school and started his entrepreneurial journey as a ‘living statue’ street performer. Believing anything is possible, he became a fashion designer, with no training, selling $6000 custom-made creations to private clients.
In 2012, he founded Green World Revolution, a not-for-profit social enterprise that gets long-term unemployed people off the dole through urban farming. This pioneering work has helped over 200 unemployed people, employs 8 staff and supplies 36 restaurants in Perth with fresh produce. He is looking to open a 3rd urban farm in 2017.
