SALEEM Technologies opened its doors in 2006 after its founder, Kashif Saleem, recognised mining companies’ need for material tracking software and the hardware that goes with it. During the next two years and through the GFC, Mr Saleem managed to grow the business from that of a sole-trader operation to one with 17 staff and steadily increasing revenue streams. Mr Saleem is passionate about invention and innovation, providing real solutions for problems. His unique system of software uses GPS and RFID tracking as well as 3D models to track and control material movement and report on the progress of a project. He set up the business with the belief that most businesses have massive, unrealised potential to improve their triple bottom line of people, planet, and profit. Saleem Technologies is a supporter of many local and worldwide charities including Breast Cancer WA, Cancer Council WA, UNICEF and Save the Children. Mr Saleem holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Karachi in Pakistan, and a Bachelor of Business Information System from Edith Cowan University. He also has an advanced diploma in business administration from West Coast Institute of Management and Technology. Mr Saleem was a 2014 winner of Business News 40under40 awards.
