Karratha rents ‘normalising’ to $1,700/week
THE state’s buoyant resources sector has proved a mixed blessing for Karratha.
Fiona White-Hartig has resided in the City of Karratha for over 17 years and spent 10 years as its councillor. She is passionate about engaging local communities and Aboriginal corporations to facilitate place-based planning.
Ms White-Hartig is the founder and managing director of Global Roaming Pilbara Foundation, a charitable organisation established to help children, teens and young adults gain valuable life skills and access the opportunities they need to succeed.
Ms White-Hartig has been a board member of several organisations in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. She was involved in the development and implementation of Roebourne Girls’ Group and On My Way, programs designed to increase school attendance, build self esteem and encourage safe and healthy lifestyles.
Ms White-Hartig was a Business News 40under40 winner in 2007.
