Irish immigrant, Martina Crowley, decided to take control of her own future after her “great [West] Australian dream” suffered a setback when her then employer, global accounting firm Arthur Anderson collapsed in 2002. As result Ms Crowley, a senior accountant in the WA taxation division at the time, struck out on her own. Together with fellow Arthur Anderson colleague, Keith Johns, she co-founded boutique tax and business advisory firm KD Johns & Co.
A top performing student in Ireland, Ms Crowley has gone on to become a member of the Institute of Certified public accountants, completed her Tax Masters as well as presented professional and motivational seminars. Now a mother of two as well as a director of a successful business,
Ms Crowley is the treasurer of her local childcare centre and has also worked with other charities including St John of God Light and the Starlight Foundation.
