David Coomer

David Coomer set out to create a five-star restaurant in 1998. The result was Shenton Park’s 50-seat Star Anise restaurant, which was recently awarded the highest ranking (3 stars) in the renowned Gourmet Traveller’s Restaurant Guide (2004). It was one of only 21 restaurants across the country to receive the rating, which represents an almost perfect dining experience. Mr Coomer has avoided trends to “downgrade” his fine dining restaurant over the years and has maintained a premium level of service and food that has ensured that the restaurant is one of the best places in Perth to dine.
