Nuheara taps investors for $9m
Local tech company Nuheara has tapped investors for $9 million to fund ongoing development and enhancement of its IQbuds wireless headphones.
Nuheara is a wearable technology company cofounded by Perth entrepreneur Justin Miller (who also founded Perth-based IT services company Empired and industrial hearing and communication company Sensear) with David Cannington, Sven Nordholm and Kevin Flynn.The team at Nuheara are passionate about commercializing hearing technology products to improve the lives of consumers.
The founders have over 50 years of bringing innovative and awarding hearing technology products to market. Nuheara IQbuds will be like having an intelligent hearing device, Bluetooth earpiece, and noise cancelling headset – all in two wireless earbuds.
Nuheara listed on the ASX in 2015 through a reverse takeover of Wild Acre Metals.
In November 2020, Nuheara was named the Dr Mal Bryce Tech Company of the Year at the Lateral INCITE Awards. In 2021, it was awarded Company Of The Year by the United States’ Consumer Technology Association.
