After immigrating to Australia Craig established WAFEX in 1990 primarily as an importer of flowers that quickly developed into an export operation. The company has grown to become Australia's leading fresh/dried export flower company with offices and dedicated packing facilities in Perth and Melbourne, export markets in over 16 countries and a dedicated supplier base of over 200 flowers growers covering both the east and west coasts of Australia. WAFEX is able to provide a full range of fresh and dried native and traditional flowers/greens to flower importers and wholesalers throughout the world. Both the Perth and Melbourne packing facilities feature state of the art facilities so shipments are despatched in pristine condition to meet the exacting, quality demands of all world markets. WAFEX has recently invested in the breeding and commercialisation of Waxflower (Chemalaucium) via it’s subsidiary HELIX Australia. The export revenues flowing from these licences and royalties will be used to further invest in Australian plant breeding. In January 2013 WAFEX opened an office in California USA to further capitalise on existing global flower opportunities.
