In 1985, Andrew Ford and his business partner Kyle Doonan decided to open a small airconditioning business. The pair used secondhand vans and secondhand tools. With $500, in the bank they set about making a go of installing airconditioners. The business has since expanded and has won several Telstra WA Small Business of the Year awards, and was ranked as one of the fastest growing companies in BRW’s 2002 Fast 100. It is the largest dealer in Western Australia for Daikin Air Conditioning.
Mr Ford was president of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Contractors Association of WA (RACCA), and a founding member of industry registration board (RACIRB).
He is also a winner of Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (Western Region - Young Category) in 2001, and Business News 40under40 award recipient in 2004.
