Ainslie van Onselen has practiced as a commercial litigation lawyer for more than a decade. In this time she has achieved a number of career milestones, including obtaining partnership in specialist litigation and commercial firm Tottle Partners at the age of 32.
Ms van Onselen was non-executive director and chair of the audit and risk management committee of WebCentral Group, Australia’s largest web and application hosting company and the leading global developer and vendor of recording and content management systems for courtrooms, hearing rooms and public meeting venues. She was appointed to the board in June of 2004 as its youngest member and has since played an active and significant part within a team of directors and managers. Her work has ensured the successful transition of WebCentral from its previous status as a private company into one of Australia’s largest listed Internet products and services companies. As chair of the WebCentral committee, Ms van Onselen was actively involved in not only advising the company but in sculpting its future strategy of expansion into the European market.
She became the chief executive of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in May 2020.
