Resolute gold production falls by 19%
Resolute Mining has reported slow gold production during the September quarter, less than a week after John Welborn's departure.
Raleigh Finlayson is a mining engineer with technical and operational experience in the mining industry in multiple disciplines including both underground and open pit operations.
After serving as chief operating officer for five years at Saracen Mineral Holdings, Mr Finlayson took over as managing director in 2013, aged 34. He then became managing director of Northern Star Resources in February 2021 following its merger with Saracen. In July 2021, Mr Finalyson transitioned from managing director to become an executive director before retiring from the board in September 2021. He became the managing director of Genesis Minerals in February 2022.
Mr Finlayson has previously held positions of underground manager for Panoramic Resources and various senior open pit engineering roles with OceanaGold and Gold Fields.
He studied at the Western Australian School of Mines and is the holder of a First Class Mine Managers Certificate, a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance and Investment, and is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
