Nuts and bolts of mining innovation
With a strong focus on cutting costs in mining, many WA small businesses are developing ways to dig up resources smarter and cheaper.
Michael Beilby was the co-founder and director of drilling technology company Minnovare, which was sold to Hexagon AB (a global leader in digital reality solutions, combining sensor, software and autonomous technologies) in January 2022. Mr Beilby then became the commercial director of Hexagon's mining division.
Prior to that, Mr Beilby was the commercial manager for Downhole Surveys, a leading Australian mining services company. He has also served as head of distressed asset acquisition for a privately held asset management company.
Mr Beilby holds the qualifications of Bachelor of International Business and a Master of Applied Finance.
