Blackburne managing director Paul Blackburne was last night named the 2016 Business News 40under40 First Amongst Equals, ahead of a talented and diverse field of candidates.
Dr John van Bockxmeer OAM launched the innovative health promotion and community development charity, Fair Game Australia in 2009, with the vision of allowing all Australians access to the benefits of fitness, health and wellness in underserviced and often remote communities, through the donation of recycled sports equipment. From his observation of Aboriginal children kicking a tin around an oval he has developed an organisation that delivers training, mentoring and youth leadership to reinforce healthy communities.
In 2021, Dr van Bockxmeer was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for services to medicine, and to the community.
