Micromine sees big picture
Mining software firm Micromine expects to grow its business by 50 per cent on the back of a new software package that has won backing from the Federal Government.
Founded in Western Australia in 1986, MICROMINE is an independent Australian-owned provider of intuitive software solutions to the mining and exploration industry. Services include capturing, managing, visualising and understanding data, and controlling and reporting on mine production.
MICROMINE has offices in 18 of the world’s mining capitals. The company has never disclosed sales or profit figures, however it has 198 staff as at June 2014.
In 2021, MICROMINE acquired Queensland’s Precision Mining and Western Australian mining software business Alastri. In 2022, MICROMINE was sold to US based company Aspen Technology.
