Chan Cheah was one of two winners of the Woodside STEM Excellence award in the 2019 Business News 40under40. Dr Cheah is a consultant haematologist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Hollywood Private Hospital, and teaches at the University of Western Australia. He founded Blood Cancer Research WA to accelerate Western Australians’ access to potentially life-saving new medications. He has written more than 70 published works and chapters for seven books, and has been awarded more than $3.5 million in grant funding. In 2018, Dr Cheah was named the 2018 WA Cancer Council Early Career Researcher of the Year.
