John Paul Olivier was the winner of the Intrapreneur category in the 2019 Business News 40under40 awards. He spent a decade in law and management consulting working at Clifford Chance and Boston Consulting Group before retraining and joining Fortescue Metals Group. Mr Olivier is now the company’s group manager, strategy, responsible for developing growth plans with the executive team. He led the establishment of Fortescue’s landmark partnership with CSIRO to support the development of innovative hydrogen technologies, and also donates his time by mentoring Fortescue employees seeking advice, coaching Aboriginal corporations on financial management, and presenting at leadership programs.
