Gender less of an issue in a flexible office
The role of women in business has been placed firmly on the agenda during the past 12 months, but is the conversation really necessary?
Kellie Benda is a Perth-based senior executive and company director. She has experience across a broad range of industries including mining and resources, energy, utilities, infrastructure, technology, health services, agriculture, insurance, and professional services.
Ms Benda has held senior executive positions with AGL, Origin Energy, Emeco Holdings and Aurizon. She was also a director in the investment banking and corporate finance divisions of PwC, BNP Paribas and Prudential-Bache Securities.
Ms Benda was a non-executive director of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (WA), Australian Youth Orchestra, and The Art Gallery of WA. She was also the founder and chair of ReadytoWork, the WA state government's Social Enterprise Fund which later merged with Dress for Success. Ms Benda became chair of Youth Futures in October 2023, and board member of the Foreign Investment Review Board in December 2023.
