Tom’s Cranes is a very capital intensive business with each crane ranging in cost from 300,00 dollars to 2 million dollars each. This created a challenge for John to move forward with his business plans of expansion. With great financial advice a strong work ethic and a work hard attitude John turned the business around from being close to administration to a thriving growing business that is continually expanding. John introduced new initiatives by taking advantage of the down times in Perth to expand to the eastern states and Malaysia. Having a broader geographical base allows Tom’s Cranes to take advantage of the cyclical nature of the construction industry.
