A 2012 40under40 winner, Stephen Gobby joined GMA Garnet as CEO in February 2015 after leaving Emeco where he had been CFO since 2008. He brought extensive financial and commercial business experience to the team, having worked for KPMG in Australia and Canada, specialising in the energy and resources sector and working with a range of large Australian and multi-national organisations. Prior to joining Emeco, Stephen spent a number of years in the corporate finance group of ASX listed Alinta, undertaking the assessment, funding and structuring activities for various corporate transactions. Stephen was later appointed as Chief Financial Officer of Alinta Infrastructure Holdings, a separately listed ASX 200 Company. At Emeco, Stephen holds responsibility for the Company's finance, treasury, strategy, business improvement, risk management and IT functions. Stephen is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, holds a Bachelor of Commerce and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
