Dr O’Mara is a highly skilled, enthusiastic communicator of the sciences, technology and sustainable development. As a team leader, Dr O’Mara has been instrumental in growing a sustainability and climate change practise for AECOM in the Western Australian region. AECOM is a global provider of professional and management support to a broad range of markets, including transportation, facilities, environmental, energy, water and government. Though AECOM has existing sustainability teams on the eastern Australian coast, it was Dr O’Mara who secured local sustainability projects in WA; this has resulted in the establishment of a sustainability and climate change practise for AECOM in WA with four sustainability professionals and current projects worth over $500,000.
