Inline Engineering Services provides precision maintenance services for heavy industry and specialises in the service, overhaul and installation of industrial gear boxes. James Taylor started the business after his previous employer closed its workshop and made all staff redudant. Inline began building its reputation for technical expertise, forging relationships with national gear manufacturers providing supply and training support. It now has over 25 staff and is the precision maintenance provider for major clients, securing contracts for maintenance work both in its original speciality of power transmission and wider maintenance areas. Since Inline started in 2001 with two tradespeople, an apprentice and a part time office worker, now ten years later it is a company with 75 staff and contractors and works for major clients including BHP Billiton.
