Since being established in 1971, Coogee has created a significant place for itself in Australia's chemical industry. It is a privately-owned company based in Western Australian producing a wide range of industrial, agricultural and mineral processing chemicals for supply to Australian and International markets. Coogee operates Bulk Liquid Terminal Facilities for import, export and storage of chemicals and fuels. In Kwinana, WA, it hosts the major players in the fuel market, and the Sulphuric Acid Terminal is the largest acid storage facility in the Southern hemisphere. It also has dangerous goods transport operations in Western Australia and Queensland.
Coogee changed its name from Coogee Chemicals in 2018 to reflect its increasing diversification.
