In January 2020 Perth-based Peninsula Mines was renamed Xantippe Resources (later known as XTC Lithium), following the acquisition of the Southern Cross gold project. Previously Peninsula was primarily focused on advancing a series of flake-graphite projects to supply down-stream spherical graphite to Korea’s high-technology Lithium-Ion battery manufacturing market.
The company was formerly known as Desert Energy and changed its name to Desert Mines and Metals in December 2011, Peninsula Mines in 2014, Xantippe Resources in January 2020, and then to XTC Lithium in December 2023.
