The businesses that dominate the unlisted landscape are very different from 20 years ago.
Roy Hill Holdings is the operator of the Roy Hill iron ore mine in the east Pilbara, scheduled to produce 55 million tonnes per annum once fully operational.
Roy Hill Holdings is 70 per cent owned by Hancock Prospecting with the remaining equity interest held through a consortia comprising of Marubeni Corporation, POSCO and China Steel Corporation.
In 2020, its Design for Excavation technology was a finalist in the Lateral INCITE Awards' Transformative Business Solution and Research & Innovation Project of the Year category. The technology offers an automated optimisation solution for blast loading designs.
