Unfamiliar players face-off in competitive new paradigm
Many not-for-profit organisations are rethinking their business model as the lines between the public, private and charitable sectors become more opaque.
Housing Choices Western Australia (formerly Access Housing) is a not-for-profit affordable housing company in Western Australia with offices located in Fremantle, Mandurah and Bunbury.
Working across the market spectrum from social housing to affordable home ownership, it provides property and tenancy management services, and affordable housing property development. Its projects are driven by local demand and assist a range of client groups including seniors, working families, singles, and people with disabilities.
In July 2020, Access Housing Australia merged with Melbourne-based Housing Choices Australia with an aim of more funding for social housing to WA. The entity became Housing Choices Western Australia in February 2021.
