Melvyn Gilbert is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 15 years of international experience. He specialises in business strategies and CFO services, accounting & Australian tax.
Mr Gilbert has been a director and partner of Fortuna Advisory Group, and heads the business services & tax division of the group’s operations in Perth, Western Australia. He has a significantly large client base varying from West Australian SMEs to Australian subsidiaries of multinational corporations. He is also advisor to a number of large Indigenous organisations in Perth metropolitan and regional areas. His speciality lies in strategic planning, compliance and financial control.
With his vast knowledge in Asian engagement, Mr Gilbert has been a contributor at WA’s Parliamentary Inquiry to enhance economic relationship between WA and the Republic of India. He is a national youth influencer, and sits on the board of a ACNC registered not-for-profit.
Mr Gilbert was named as one of Australia’s top 5 Young Professionals (IABCA 2019) and received an acknowledgement from then Prime Minister Scott Morrison. He was also the winner of Australian Accounting Awards 2022 (New Partner of the Year).
He holds a Masters in Accounting and Business/Management, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Radio & TV Journalism.
