Refuel Australia is a Western Australian business that distributes fuels and lubricants throughout the Pilbara, Midwest, Gascoyne and Murchison regions of Western Australia and the Northern Territory, from Darwin in the north to Alice Springs in the south.
Refuel Australia was originally known as Geraldton Fuel Company, which eventuated from the amalgamation of both the Caltex and Ampol Distributorships covering the mid-west region of Western Australia.
The existing business was purchased by Ian & Monique Burrows in June 2000 and is a 50/50 joint venture with Ampol.
In 2016 the company was renamed Refuel Australia as it expanded into the Pilbara and Kimberley regions of WA and then later into the Northern Territory.
In 2018 the company diversified into roadhouses with five sites operational in the first 12 months and had plans to increase this number, however labour shortages has caused it to hold back and it has reduced its retail sites to four. On the unmanned side of the business, it has more than 40 sites scattered throughout the regions and Northern Territory.
