Changing environmental views timely for Outback Ecology
ENVIRONMENTAL consultancy Outback Ecology is one of the 2010 Rising Stars award winners.
Outback Ecology was an award winning environmental consultancy based in Perth. Commencing in 1990 Outback Ecology operated on a part-time basis in regional WA but was soon moved to Perth due to its consistently positive growth. Outback became a trusted supplier to many of Australia’s leading and emerging mining and oil and gas companies including BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto and Chevron. It was acquired by MWH Global in 2013.

Local environmental consultancy Outback Ecology is seeking to tap into the opportunities presented by its merger with global giant MWH Global, despite acknowledging the current tough market conditions.
Mergers and land development opportunities have brightened the outlook for environmental services operators.
If the many different winners of the Rising Stars award have anything in common it is that all won the ability to choose their future – whether that be a trade sale, an ASX float or organic growth.
