A company angling for a share of the 1.6 billion strong global video gamers market - and maybe doing it with government backing - has leapt on debut on the ASX.

Tungsten Mining has announced a placement to sophisticated and institutional investors to raise approximately $20 million. Directors have received firm commitments representing approximately 75% of the Placement.

Anson Resources has closed a share purchase plan, raising $608,700 from 84 applicants. Additionally, the company has received a firm commitment from Chia Tai Xingye International for a $1.65 million placement at 6 cents a share. 

Cameron Adams, co-founder and chief product officer of Canva, has joined Esports Mogul as non-executive director. Mr  Adams has experience in scaling a technology business, developing and refining a billion-dollar digital product, and founded a design agency prior to Canva.

Adam Jacoby will be retiring as chair of Esports Mogul due to increasing commitments in his executive roles as director of global and strategic innovation at Swinburne University and in global democracy projects.
