Ignatius (Iggy) Tan appointed managing director of Altech Batteries (formerly Altech Chemicals) in 2014. He is a former managing director of Kogi Iron. Mr Tan previously served as managing director of Galaxy Resources and Nickelore. He has held managerial roles at SCM Chemicals and Sons of Gwalia, and general manager roles at Westlime, Iluka Resources, Imdex Minerals and Metals X. During his time at Iluka, he won the Prime Minister's Community and Business Partnership award for industry commitment to local communities in WA. Mr Tan is a former chairman of the WA Chamber of Minerals and Energy's Murchison regional council. In 2023 Mr Tan became inaugural chair of Lithium Universe when it successfully listed on the ASX.
