Mawson West is an Perth-based copper producer, developer and explorer which was listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the symbol MWE until it was taken over by Galena Private Equity Resources Fund LP in 2016. Mawson West's focus is on the Democratic Republic of Congo and its major asset is its ownership of the tenements which are governed by the Dikulushi Mining Convention and held by its 90 per cent owned subsidiary Anvil Mining Congo SA. The tenements cover a land package of approximately 7,300 km2 and encompass the company's two main projects, the Dikulushi copper-silver mine and the Kapulo copper exploration and development project.
