Pilbara civil firm welcomes training simulator

A Karratha civil construction company hopes its new training simulator will help address workforce shortages and training challenges in the region.
Corps is the largest locally-based civil construction company in Western Australia’s North West region. It was founded by Darryl and Kerrye Corps in 1985 and is now owned and run by their four sons.
The company has grown from one truck to more than 200 pieces of equipment. It has capabilities in earthworks, roadworks, civil construction, sand delivery and cartage, as well as recycling of construction material.
The current brand was adopted in 2021, consolidating brands such as Karratha Earthmoving, Karratha Asphalt, Karratha Environmental Crushing and Hedland Asphalt.
Corps has four hubs in Western Australia: Karratha, Broome, Port Hedland and Perth.
