Founded in Perth in 1962, Multiplex is a global contractor that builds, engineers, maintains and operates property and infrastructure assets.
In 2003 the company listed on the ASX, and was acquired by Canadian firm Brookfield Asset Management in 2007. Rebranded as Brookfield Multiplex, the company is a subsidiary of Brookfield Business Partners (a NYSE- and TSX-listed company within the larger Brookfield group).
In 2016 Brookfield Multiplex was rebranded, returning to trading under the Multiplex name.
