Base Iron opens $5m public offer
The Mid West region has welcomed another iron ore player with West Perth-based Base Iron Ltd opening its $5 million initial public offer today.
Base Resources engaged in the acquisition, evaluation, and development of mineral resources in Africa and Australia.
The company primarily held a 100% interest in the Kwale Mineral Sands project located in Kenya. It also had a portfolio of projects comprising the Poona East, Murgoo, and Wandarrie Well projects located in the Mid West region of Western Australia with iron, uranium, gold, and base metal targets.
Base Resources was acquired by NYSE/TSX-listed Energy Fuels in 2024.

Base Resources managing director Tim Carstens has sold 1.15 million shares to raise $655,500, and has also exercised 2 million options to acquire shares at a cost of 25 cents each, bringing his total stake in the mineral sands
