Trevor Eastwood was one of Western Australia's most senior business leaders, at the helm of Wesfarmers initially as chief executive and later as chair during its emergence as one of the nation's leading companies. The rise of Wesfarmers was doubly notable because it steered clear of the WA Inc era of corruption in the 1980s when many other industrial firms were working hand in glove with the government of the day.
Mr Eastwood was also chair of Avatar Industries, and played a big part in the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
