Stephen Tormey

Born and raised in Ireland, Mr Tormey moved to Australia in the late 2000s to take an engineering job in Brisbane before settling in the Pilbara region in 2014. Later made redundant, Mr Tormey cooked up a plan over beers with three of his mates in 2018 to put together a sustainable engineering business in northern WA.
From there, he created Bennco Engineering, which has focused on maintaining its workforce through a commitment to corporate social responsibility.
